Incorporating and focusing on the breath and movement together brings about an abundance of calm and peace within the mind and body system. The postures will build strength, create flexibility and stimulate and improve circulation. Always start your daily practice by including some warm up movements to prepare the body for the stronger holding postures.
Make sure you are not straining your breath. Each round of breathing while holding a posture should be done in a calm and relaxed manner. Take care to focus on your whole body while you work, be sure never to strain or force yourself during your daily practice. Allow our body time to get used to working this way, be gentle on yourself while you fast track your way to health and well-being.

Yoga’s underlying purpose is to reunite the individual self with pure consciousness. In fact, the word Yoga means “union”, thus liberating us from the illusion of what is not real, that prevents us from connecting to our own true self. Regular yoga practice will defuse the effects of stress and tension leaving the mind calm and the body peaceful.
